back from the...

well i'm not back from the dead (not sure how a zombie would be able to keep a blog) but i am back from being MIA from this blog.

I'm taking a little break from WoW, been so for a couple of months now, getting all rested up before the big expansion release coming up!!!

I have been doing another type of gaming in it's place... miniature war gaming with Warhammer 40k. I think i might be addicted haha. I'm playing with a Ork army, games been 1500 and 2000 points. I'm still learning a lot but getting it all down. Its really fun, both playing and painting your army.

In zombie news, who can't wait for 'The Walking Dead' tv show!!! I know I can't but have no fear its almost here! I also saw Resident Evil After Life a few weeks ago, not bad. It was a little better then the last but doesn't really reflect any of the games story like the others but I still enjoyed it. Also, Survival of the Dead is finally out! I saw it awhile back on Verizon fios, they had it on demand before you can see it in theaters and now its on DVD. I got the special edition (from Canada) and now my '.... Of the Dead' films are complete once again until GAR releases his next one. GAR said in a interview that he does plan on at least 2 more being made, hopefully.

WoW.. its been awhile

Well well, its been awhile since my last post i guess i should give a little update to anyone that still reads this. (btw if you do read this, leave a comment please and let me know!)

I've been away from not only blogger but WoW for a little bit but I'm back!
To the right you can find my WoW RSS feed, you'll be able to see what i'm up too.

I've been kind of busy with my band and taking some college classes (digital imaging) and trying to get a new/better job. But... i have been thinking about dropping the band so i can focus more on getting a better job and more pay (please donate if you can, i really need the help or visit some of the ads)

I plan on making some WoW videos soon, not sure how soon yet lol i need to do some work on my PC before doing so, more ram, bigger HD, etc...

on the zombie front:
I got a zombie tattoo on my leg, i'll post a photo next post.

a little lazy

yup, i've been a bit lazy as you can tell.

Not much has been going on in my little world
I just bought Champions Online... At first I wasn't sure how well it would be but after playing it last night, i'm impressed. I don't think i'll drop WoW for it but i'll for sure be playing it for a little while.

news on the zombie front:
I haven't heard much information about GAR's new movie Survival of the Dead. I can't wait to see it!

I did hear a report that said horror movies are becoming more popular and one type is the most popular... zombies!

it makes me feel proud lol

There is a new zombie movie fron Sony Pictures coming on Oct. 2nd called Zombie Land



it looks like its more of a spoof film, i'll be seeing it for sure and i'll give my review of it.

I just love that episode.

There hasn't been to much going on in my little demented world...

But last nite at some point lighting hit on of my trees in the backyard... it broke the top part off and came close to hitting the house. We didn't notice it till this morning. I took some photos, i'll post them later. You can see the burn marks on it. I can't believe I didn't even hear it...

Tsix is lv80 yay! And i'm working on getting some l33t gear on him.

I finally saw The Zombie Diaries (not to be confused with Diary of the Dead) It was pretty damn good. Its raw and very bloody. I saw some of the behind the scenes stuff... they had some actors have live maggots put on their faces, pretty wild isn' t it?

The DVD is pretty cheap and its worth very cent!



I also bought a new zombie book (think i like zombie themed stuff? lmao)

The book is called Dead Reckoning: Dawning of the Dead, its a unofficial squeal to the original Dawn of the Dead. I just got the book in the mail and i'm a couple of chapters into it, its very good.

well, I didn't do much for easter. I had sun. mon. and tues off. It went by way to fast. I finished my painting (below this post) and did some house cleaning.

exciting huh? lol

I'm really trying to finish some books i've been working on for years now. I also plan to enter a contest that Blizzard is doing w/ World of Warcraft. You write a short story about your character and if they like it you get goodies... grand prize gets a trip to Bliz's HQ, dinner w/ their team and the Frostmoure sword.

Yesterday me and my other half spent a few hours at the laundry mat (our washer broke down a couple of months ago...) While there, I got kind of bored so i started to spell her name out of pretzels lol she said it was the most romantic thing anyone has done lmao being sarcastic of course. But she can say, no one else has ever spelled her name w/ pretzels lol.

Well, there it is... all finished. It took me about 4 days. I'm already getting ideas for my next one. I plan on making prints of this one and others to come, maybe sell them at some point if anyone is interested. If you are, please leave a comment.

well, i just finished doing a little more on my very first zombie painting... i'm pretty damn impressed with it, being my first one after all.

rain, lighting and all that

Well, i'm at work atm, not really working, i had to come here to pick up my other half. So I went back up to the office and decided to burn some time on the interwebz.

I had no idea we were supposed to be getting a storm here (Dallas, TX area) I was at home (enjoying being all alone, doesn't happen often) then BOOM, very loud thunder that shook the house. Kind of surprising. On my way over here there was a nice light show, lots of lighting. I brought my camera w/ me so i might step outside to take a few pics. I'll post them later; maybe tomorrow, IDK.

I applied at Fry's (huge electronics store) I love that place. I can spent hours in there lol I need more money...

I still plan on making a fake movie trailer for a fake movie i thought up... (drum roll) NINJA BUNNY!!!!! (applaud here)
It will be a easter bunny that kicks butt... hopefully i can. I'm going to 'borrow' a easter bunny suit from where my g/f works (easter bunny set)

Also today I got some good news... Day by Day Armageddon 2 is about to come out!

This photo shows the very early stages of a painting I am going to do. It will be my very first painting. I normally draw zombies but I decided to see what I can do on a canvas. As you can tell, I started with drawing a rough idea very lighty on a canvas. Later i'll start to fill it all in.

I'll take photos of it as I go.

I'm not sure how my first painting will turn out, but hey why not give it a try.

Also, I'm working more and more on my zombie book. Thats been slowly coming together as well... I'll post a little maybe later

PC gaming...

Well, i've been really bored at work. My pc here sucks but its good enough to run the older games... I loaded the classic FPS of all time - DOOM. Man its been awhile since I played this. I spent hours on this when I was younger. Me and a friend loaded it on all the school PCs lol we also loaded some other like Wolfenstein and Raise of the Trade (that was a awesome multiplayer fps back in the day, we played that everyday on the school's PC lol) The best thing about back then, our teachers didn't care. They didn't know anything about these type of games. We had huge LAN games going on with every kid in PC class. Good times...

Back to the present, so yeah I loaded it on this PC. Its weird seeing DOS start up. I bet the majority of kids now days have no idea what DOS is lol. I've been playing DOOM on here for the past couple of days on and off. It sure looks different now I go back to it. The graphics were cutting edge back then... not so now.

Because of this all I decided to dust off DOOM 3 and loaded it on my PC. I didn't get why they called it DOOM 3 when it was a remake of DOOM. It gave it way better graphics and a much scarier environment.

I really loved DOOM as you can tell, and still do lol DOOM opened the FPS world to me.

Well, moving on. I've been playing WoW a lot more again. I'm almost 77 (good god its taking forever) I feel kind of like a n00b and shamed because i've been playing WoW since '04. I should have a few lv80s now... but i did take a break. Now i'm rested and back at full speed. I should be lv80 in no time and get my Tier 7 gear.

i'm always looking up stuff about zombies... btw I just finished Day by Day Armageddon (A zombie novel). Wow... this is one awesome zombie book i've read. It really sucks you in and makes it feel real.

Boomers' Day Off

I'm a huge Left 4 Dead fan, I thought this was pretty funny.. and is it wrong to think for some reason the girl dressed up as a 'Witch' looks kind of sexy that way lol

Quarantine

Ok, I never went to the theaters to see the move, Quarantine. I never really looked into it, and I heard some mixed reviews at first and it kind of just.. faded away from my thoughts.

The other day, I decided to rent it because of a guy that I play Left 4 Dead with recommended it to me. I was like, hmmmm I totally forgot about that movie. Well, I logged into my netflex account and rented it.

I must say, I was kind of impressed by it. It was way better then I thought. Yes, I know i'm a little late w/ this review but hey I just wanted to let all my fellow zombie/horror fans that haven't seen this know, its not all that bad.

Its good enough for me to buy it and add it to my collection!

It never really comes out and says 'zombies' but you can tell that's what is going on. I might even rent the original movie titled '[REC]' (its a spainish film) just to see how well of a remake they did.

Its finally here!

The game looks sweet and amazing. I'll be for sure getting it once i get some $$ for it (for 360 of course hehe)
I'm even tempted to buy the RE5 xbox lol

Once I get it i'll be posting a full review of it... whenever that is lol
